Dr. Sampson comes from a long line of preachers of the Gospel and has a rich heritage because of it. He is privileged that both his Grandfathers were Ministers, his maternal Grandfather Rev. George F. Lenzia preached in the Methodist Church in Spring, Texas and his paternal Grandfather Rev. Harry Sampson preached in the Baptist Church in Polk County, Texas. His Father Rev. Dr. H. B. Sampson, Sr. pastored the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.
Our Founding Pastor surrendered to preach the Gospel in June, 1972. His secular preparation was done at the University of Houston and formal ministerial training was done at Dallas Baptist University, He received an Honorary Doctor of Ministry degree from Mount Hope Bible College. He accepted his first pastorate in March, 1975 and has pastored in Houston, Texas; Port Arthur,
Texas; and Dallas, Texas. Dr. Sampson has also served as Dean and Professor of Ministry at Ministry Development Institute. Led of the Lord and following his mandate from God to reach the lost, hurting, hopeless, and misdirected, Dr. Sampson along with his wife Sister Linda M. Sampson founded the Golden Triangle Christian Fellowship Church. in June, 1999.
Dr. Sampson is concerned about family, ministry, walking in divine health, and spiritual development. His ministry ethic is "I care more about you, than I care about what you do for me". God has anointed him to strengthen families, train others for ministry, preach and lay hands on the sick to receive their healing, and teach others how to hear God's voice, and walk by faith with God.
Dr. Sampson married his childhood Sweetheart, the lovely Linda Marie Traylor in January, 1972. They have one Son and one Daughter. Sister Linda Marie Sampson went to be with the Lord in January, 2007.
At the advice of his Children Dr. Sampson found and proposed to the lovely LaVerne Smith of Houston, Texas and in December, 2007 they were married. Sister LaVerne Sampson has worked side by side with her husband and has distinguished herself as a co-laborer and compassionate friend and Exhorter to the Body of Christ through the Golden Triangle Christian Fellowship Church.
